Cylindrical fuse links are used as general protection against overloads and short-circuits (gG), protecting semiconductor devices from short-circuits (aR), also preventing short-circuits situation in motors (aM).

Copper-made multi-sections element is encapsulated in a ceramic cylindrical tube, by applying high-purity quartz sand that act as cooling, absorbing agent and make the arc gradient and start to burn. The both end caps are _firmly welded and compressed on the ceramic body, and the blow-out striker provides not only the visual sign when the element is melted but also may trigger micro switch, send signals or switching loop (TP Series).
